Challenge: Our client had ambitious plans to disrupt the meat industry, both on the farm side and the slaughterhouse side, for the mutual benefit of farmers and slaughterhouse owners. The end result would be better-quality meat for end consumers.
To develop such a game-changing solution, they needed funding from investors. They came to the IBM Garage to leverage our expertise on how AI, visual recognition, and cloud computing could make their vision a reality. In addition, they needed advice on how to scope their vision down to a series of first steps to prove the technical feasibility and market viability of their solution.
We worked with them to adopt a user-centered, Lean approach to development so that they could deliver a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in six months. We helped them not only develop a product but also communicate its value proposition.
They proved to investors that they had a technically feasible solution that addressed an important need in the market, and they successfully secured the funding needed to scale.
